According to reports in England, Vincent Kompany is set to extend his stay at Manchester City for another year. The 32 year old has been a rock at the heart of the City defence ever since joining way back in 2008, and it genuinely feels like he belongs at the Etihad for the remainder of his career. He s certainly had ups and downs along the way with his injuries hampering his ability to play consistently throughout those ten years, but it seems as if the club are more than willing to keep him on the books at least beyond this year.
It s no secret that City are considered to be the favourites for the title once again this season, but they ll need veterans like Kompany on board if they want to overcome the challenge of Chelsea and Liverpool who both seem like sides that could make some noise from now until May.
